Advertising Week Kicks Off – Here’s What To Look For
Move over Time Square Elmo, you might need to make room for a few extra brand mascots this week as the marketing universe descends on New York for the annual Advertising Week conclave. This conference is known for content overdose, with so many brands, agencies, networks, pubs and AdTech vendors trying to outshine one another in the same two block radius. Due to the flurry of activity it’s sometimes hard to know which events to attend, much less get in the room early enough for an actual seat.
To help sort out this year’s Ad Week scrum Digiday has published a short list of the items to watch for. From WPP’s creative agency restructure, to the #MeToo themed Times Up media initiative, to finding the next Nike/Kaepernick cause-based marketing phenomenon, there’s literally something for everyone in the Big Apple this week.
