What You Read When You’re Snowbound At La Guardia
Yesterday a combination snow/sleet/rain storm hit New York City during the afternoon rush hour. As the unlucky ticket holder on a 7:30p flight out of La Guardia, I knew I had zero chance of making it home. So what does an intrepid blogger and bored business traveler do with their free time? They read weird things about NYC, of course!
The most unusual thing I discovered while hanging out next to the Auntie Anne’s pretzel dog kiosk was an interactive map that tracks Manhattan’s population by the minute. Every day over four million commuters go in and out of the borough. Seeing this travel pattern as an infographic is memorizing – sort of reminds me of a human heart.
So thank you, Manhattan population infrographic, for giving me the strength to make it through a fun evening at LGA!
